According to research, students who have clearly identified their academic goals are more likely to achieve academic success than those who do not have a goal or who have not committed it in writing.
Maranatha Virtual Academy utilizes a Personalized Instruction Plan (PIP) for each full-time student in order to involve the parent, student, and MVA administration in the academic goal-setting process. The PIP will help to communicate achievement test results, K12 course sequencing, and other resources and academic planning that may assist the student in achieving his or her academic goals.
The development of the PIP is a collaborative team process involving the student, parent, and MVA administration. Students complete their PIP to move forward in their coursework.
What About Flexibility?
Because students work through their PIP, families often have some flexibility as to when a child completes the work.
