Above-average high school juniors and seniors can benefit greatly by using Maranatha Online college courses to meet their high school graduation requirements through the dual credit option.

High school juniors and seniors have three distinct options based on their educational and career goals:

  • take selected college courses for dual credit for the purpose of getting a “head start” on their college careers;
  • complete the first year of most majors available at Maranatha Baptist University while also completing their junior and senior years of high school in the Fast Forward program. Students pursuing this option will take one, eight-week online college course each of the six online sessions per year beginning with the summer session before their junior year of high school. The exact sequence of online courses will vary by major;
  • complete an associate degree while also completing their junior and senior years of high school. Students pursuing this option will take two, eight-week online college courses each of the six online sessions per year beginning with the summer session before their junior year of high school. The exact sequence of online courses will vary by degree program.

Students considering one of these options should contact Maranatha’s Online Advisor for additional information and planning guidance. Students considering enrolling in Maranatha Virtual Academy* in conjunction with one of these options should contact the MVA Administrator for additional information and planning guidance.
