To provide a high-quality curriculum and a wide range of course offerings, Maranatha Virtual Academy works with several other organizations. MVA courses are built on the best available learning science.
MVA offers selected courses through K12, Inc. The K12 curriculum’s conservative approach to subject matter is designed for use by public, private, and home-school students. However, not all aspects of the K12 curriculum present Maranatha’s Christian worldview. MVA integrates a Christian worldview into the K12 curriculum it uses through its teachers and their supplemental resources.
MVA encourages juniors and seniors in high school to take selected college courses offered by Maranatha Online at a 50% tuition discount and count the credit they earn toward high school graduation requirements. Above-average students can complete selected college courses to get a “head start” on their college careers, the first year of most majors available at Maranatha Baptist University while also completing their junior and senior years of high school, or an associate degree by using Maranatha Online college courses to meet their remaining high school graduation requirements through the dual credit option. Since Maranatha Baptist University is regionally accredited, Maranatha Online courses, college courses created and taught from a biblical worldview by Christian faculty, are transferrable to other colleges and universities. Most Maranatha Online courses last just 8 weeks, and courses are available year-round. For more information about Maranatha Online courses, contact the Office of Online and Distance Learning.
